it was with my friend
and it was about a frequently asked question
we were joking around about people
who ask
'would you die for your friends and family'
well
let me tell you this
im sorry
to all my friends and family when i say this
but
NO
i wouldnt
put yourself in this situation
your standing with a group of friends or family
and all of a sudden this lunatic
pulls out this gum or knife or something
and goes after a person your with
so they go and they shoot the bullet
and there you are
with about 1.2 seconds to think of what to do
OPTION 1 : JUMP in front of the bullet, or in the way of the friggin switchblade or whatnot, and let them kill you instead of your friend
OPTION 2 : Stand there and watch them kill your friend
theres no good way to look at it
but what you can think about is
the logical things
1. what are the chances of someone trying to kill them, i mean there are chances..but how high are they, honestly?
2. dont you think that if there is someone there to kill them that they have a reason for wanting revenge on that friend
3. IF they have a reason for wanting to kill that person, and you jump in front and they kill you, theyll go back, and they will also shoot/stab/ run over with their car, that person they originally wanted.
so techincally
by dying for your friend or family member
you may actually be causing worse situations
greif of 2 deaths
instead of one.
also
when people ask the question
'would you die for me?'
or
'would you die for anyone you cared about'
they need to word it differently beacuse its just kind of
'well, it depends what you mean by 'die' for them' its the 'FOR' that gets you
because it could be taken as
woiuld you die for me?
like if i was bored
and needed something to watch
im not just gunna die FOR your entertainment
i think the question should be worded as more of a
'would you die INSTEAD of me'
because thats really what your asking them to do, no?
or
'would you die WITH me?'
because..like i said, you may both get shot, stab, run over, and whatnot, anyway.
so
long rant short...
i hate that question.
